PRACTICE
For: Cold Hands
Aged Black Tea.
The Goal
"Warming the center so comfort can travel back to cold hands and feet."
Traditional Logic
"Think of your body as a quiet house in winter. When the central hearth is low, the far rooms grow cold first. Aged black tea is a gentle ember for the Spleen Fire, helping warmth gather in the center before it moves outward to the hands and feet."
The Stack
-
5g Aged Black Tea (红茶) ?Deep red leaves with a warming nature - 300ml Filtered Water ?Soft water keeps the cup clear
Why It Works
Why It Works
Aged black tea is warming without being harsh. In traditional language, it protects the middle and helps Spleen Qi carry warmth outward.
Gentle Cautions
If your stomach feels sensitive, drink it with food. If you are sensitive to tea, keep it before mid-afternoon.
Steps
01
What water temperature should I use?
Heat water to 95°C (203°F). Boiling water can over-extract tannins, causing bitterness.
02
How long should I steep?
Infuse for 3-5 minutes. The color should be a deep, clear amber.
